Making an informed decision is important especially when considering a math “jump” during the summer.
Northwest Liberty School & Education Resource Center is pleased to host an evening about this summer’s accelerated math courses. I will be joined by two Northshore school counselors, Frank Delino, Skyview Junior High, and Bryan McNiel, Inglemoor High School. Information and answering questions about the “jump” option will help inform parents.
Other school districts’ parents are welcome! We will specifically address Northshore School District students, but NWLS also has students from surrounding districts including Lake Washington, Bellevue, Seattle, and other districts enroll in summer accelerated coursework.
Date: April 27, 2016
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Directions to Northwest Liberty School: 13120 NE 177th Pl, A104, Woodinville (across the street from Dairy Queen, a block off of 522)
The time is devoted to topics around summer accelerated math that include:
- District Policy
- Profile of a student that should consider or should not consider this “jump”
- Course options for the summer (NWLS, NSD, and others)
- Comparison of tuition costs
- Summer schedule and course content delivery (online, in-class)
- Academic support for students
- What happens at the end of the summer to assure students are scheduled in the right class next year?
- Q & A
As Northwest Liberty School & Education Resource Center has a smaller school footprint, but serves many students and their families, our space is limited. We request that only parents attend. (For people who know me, know that this not my style, but I want as many interested adults to attend and ask questions as possible.)
If you have other summer school questions, NWLS staff and I will be available afterwards to talk.
I hope to see you there!
