As a Washington State OSPI approved online provider, MSE offers a wide range of asynchronous online courses. All courses are set up per semester lasting 18 weeks (9 weeks for Credit Recovery).

Credit Recovery is only for students who have previously failed the course.  All credit recovery courses are 9 weeks in length and cost $229 per semester. Credit Recovery courses are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.

Art Appreciation

Course Description

What makes an artwork a masterpiece? Why do artists create art? What is the difference between Rococo and Art Nouveau? In this course, students will discover the answers to these questions and more. Students examine the elements of art and principles of design and explore how artists have used these elements and principles in the creation of art for centuries.
