Mitch Jensen
Math Instructor
Mitch started teaching 22 years ago, and has been with MSE for six years. He teaches Middle School-level Math and earned both his undergraduate degree and teaching certificate from Eastern Washington University. Go Eags!
One of his favorite things about teaching online is meeting students and people from all over the state of Washington, rather than just in the area where he lives.
Fun fact about Mitch: he used to swim competitively and was a butterfly specialist. While he now no longer swims the butterfly stroke, he can juggle. So, he guesses he’s traded one useless skill for another.
He and his wife have three kids, all grown. Their oldest and his wife and son live in Austin, Texas, and their daughter and her husband live in Gales Ferry, Connecticut, and their youngest lives in Spokane. His wife is a K-1 teacher in Spokane.
Mitch is also a Teacher Advocate for the Alternative Learning Experience at MSE.
