Just Ask Jen…
I get so many questions from both students and parents. Many of the questions center around how to do something within the course they are taking. I’m going to let you in on a little secret…our website is a goldmine of information! I know, I know, that means you have to read through some things to find your answers – but I promise you – you’ll find your answer with a quick look at our How To pages!
Here is a sneak peak of what the page looks like:
Each page has video links and PDF step by step directions.
One question I have received several times lately is regarding progress reports. You can find more details here (click on info for parents). The biggest thing to remember is the grade to date isn’t accurate. Take a look at your quality of work – that’s the important number! This tells you where you’re at. If you are unsure take a look at our grading scale.
When you start a new course there are 3 numbers:
- Grade to Date
- Quality of Work
- Overall Grade
Grade to date factors in due dates which is why it’s not always accurate. We don’t penalize students for “late” work. Remember due dates are guidelines at MSE. Quality of work is explained above. The last number the overall grade starts at zero and slowly goes up. Once you complete these three numbers are all the same.
Let me know what kinds of questions you have and I’ll do a post around your question!
